Six bird species take flight to extinction

The eastern pied currawong has pushed its western relative aside. A study of Australian birds by Charles Darwin University and four wildlife conservation organisations has found no trace of a type of currawong previously found in the Grampians and grasslands of western Victoria, despite numerous searches over two decades.
