Valentines Day Recipes : 2018 - Breakfast , heart shaped pizzas and desserts

1.) Assemble your sandwich, then butter one side of the bread. Separate the egg white and yolk into two bowls. Place the sandwich, buttered-side-down, in a pan over medium heat and grill until golden brown, then remove.

2.) Butter the uncooked side of the sandwich. Using a cookie cutter or a sharp knife, cut out the center. Lower the heat slightly, then return both pieces of the sandwich to the pan, uncooked-side-down. Add just enough egg white to fill the bottom of the empty sandwich center, then carefully slip the egg yolk into the center.

3.) Cover the pan (this will help the egg cook quicker) and let everything cook for a couple minutes, checking regularly after one minute to make sure nothing is burning. Once the egg appears to be cooked, immediately remove the sandwich and serve!

MINI HEART PIZZAS

INGREDIENTS

pizza dough (I used Trader Joe’s frozen organic pizza crust)
sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese
pepperoni
flour, for dusting your work surface

SUPPLIES

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 450°. Remove the pizza dough from the freezer let it sit out for 30 minutes to come to room temperature.
  2. Use a 1″ heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the pepperonis. I found it easiest to flip the cookie cutter upside down and press the pepperoni into the cutter.
  3. Sprinkle your countertop or cutting board with a little flour. Place the room temperature pizza dough on top and use the 4″ heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the dough. I was able to get 5 mini pizzas out of 1 pre-rolled pizza crust.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of sauce in the middle of each crust. Use a spoon to spread it around the entire surface and top with cheese and heart shaped pepperonis.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the crust is crisp and the cheese is just beginning to brown. Allow it to cool for a minute and enjoy!

Hot buffalo chicken and bacon grilled cheese : Best Sandwich Ever!

Shredded chicken, hot buffalo sauce, bacon, and cheddar cheese pressed between two crispy and toasted bread. Best sandwich ever!
45 minutes
Ingredients
∙ Serves 3-4
Meat
  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 3/4 cup Buffalo sauce, hot
  • 1 1/2 cups Rotisserie chicken
Produce
  • 1/2 stick Celery
  • 1/4 cup Green onions
Baking & spices
  • 1 Black pepper, fresh
  • 1 Sea salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Lay the bacon slices on the lined baking sheet and cook in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. Take bacon out of the oven, then lay bacon slices on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up bacon grease.
Warm the hot sauce in the microwave for 30 seconds, then set aside. In a large mixing bowl, mix together hot sauce, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese until cheeses have melted. Fold in the chicken, celery, and green onions. Season with salt and fresh black pepper to taste.
Prepare the sandwiches. Top one slice of bread with a generous amount of buffalo chicken mixture, two slices of bacon, a slice of cheddar cheese, then cover with the other slice of bread. Repeat until all the buffalo chicken mixture is used up.

Cook the sandwiches. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Melt a pat of butter on the skillet. Place a sandwich on the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Add another pat of butter to the skillet, turn the sandwich over, and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese has melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve immediately.
